I don’t know if others feel this way about flying on a plane, but I hate how gross your face feels afterwards. If I don’t need to be somewhere immediately after landing, I never wear makeup. Instead, I focus on my skincare. Air travel can be very dehydrating and drying for your skin. The cabin is pressurized, meaning that all the air that’s in there once the door closes just gets recycled during the entire flight and it’s typically always dry. I always feel my skin starting to get tight shortly after takeoff and I personally HATE that feeling. My goal now is always to counteract and prevent that feeling by using really hydrating and nourishing products to ensure that I don’t look a zombie upon landing. Finding what products work for your skin is a huge trial and error process. I don’t even want to know how much money I have spent on skincare products throughout the years, but it’s a small fortune. When I first got into skincare, information was not as readily available on the Internet and the craze behind reading/writing reviews had not quite started yet. Now I can’t even consider buying something as simple as a can opener without seeing the ratings and reviews it got. So, as information/reviews became more readily available and distributed through blogs, YouTube, and sellers…my love and knowledge for skincare grew as well. I want to share some of my biggest mistakes and successes with you guys and hopefully everyone can take away something from this! Continue reading “Skincare Do’s and Don’t”
Like most people, I stopped wearing my retainer at some point after I had braces. It was sometime in college where my mom wasn’t there to make sure I was wearing them at least a couple nights a week. Honestly, I thought that they had been straight for years now…surely they would stay that way. Wrong. My teeth shifted fairly quickly after I ditched the retainers and nothing was the same (cue some Drake). I don’t remember exactly when my teeth started to bother me but at some point I really wanted to do something about it. Whenever I would complain to my friends, they never noticed anything wrong because they were basically still pretty straight. It was one of those things that only you really see or care about…no one was about to agree with me that my upper laterals needed to move up a little. My bottom teeth had the most obviously crookedness but no one sees those anyway. Still, I was on a mission to do something about it. Continue reading “My Invisalign Experience”
I came across this mask the same way as I come across most things…YouTube. People were raving about this stuff and I am always intrigued by a natural product. I tried this mask back in college and I remember thinking it was an intense mask, but got distracted by other products, and then lost it in a move.
Flash forward to 2017 and I randomly experienced a bout of breakouts which I attributed to either hormones or poor diet. It was weird because that rarely happens anymore and I was willing to try anything to get my skin back under control. My normal go-to skincare products were just not cutting it this time so I went to the internet to help me come up with a solution.
Enter the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay.
I re-read the claims and reviews of this mask and thought, okay…why not? It’s cheap enough to where I am not spending an arm and leg over something that may or may not work and it’s natural which is always a plus. I ran out to Whole Foods and found it in their skincare aisle. Continue reading “Review: Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay”
Hello friends 🙂
I have played around with the idea of making a blog for awhile now and finally just bit the bullet. I really wanted to create a space to share things that I’ve learned and discovered throughout my life, and what better way to do that than through blogging?
I thought I would start out by sharing a little bit about me: Continue reading “Introduction”
